The entry of the investment fund Magnum Capital in the Spanish adtech will benefit the operation in Brazil
SunMedia consolidated its international expansion plan with the entry of investment fund Magnum Capital. The company arrived in Brazil in March this year, under the command of Marcio Zorzella.
The contribution, which the amount was not disclosed, will allow the technology company — and its operations around the globe — to take on new challenges, invest in talent, quality and creativity. The internal structure will be maintained, as well as the team and direction, under the leadership of Fernando García, CEO of SunMedia.
“The fund’s entry accelerates SunMedia’s growth and Brazil, a strategic country for the company, immediately benefits. Very soon we will have new products, services and solutions in our portfolio of offerings for customers in the country,” said country manager Zorzella.
In the last year, SunMedia has increased its global team by 43%, with around 200 employees at its headquarters in countries such as Mexico, Peru, Colombia, Argentina, Brazil, Panama, Ecuador, United States, Sweden, Portugal and Spain — where has two offices.

With the agreement, Magnum completes the fifth investment of its Magnum Capital III fund, following operations in Digitalent, Metrodora Education, Apices and Probelte. For the transaction, BBVA bank acted as exclusive financial advisor to SunMedia, while Squire Patton Boggs and Herbert Smith Freehills were the legal advisors to Sunmedia and Magnum, respectively.
