Juliette’s new single, Xodó, promises to deliver an atmosphere of romance. The song hit all music apps yesterday, June 30th at 9pm. The track is another collaboration between Paraiba and HITMAKER, which has already signed productions by Anitta, Luísa Sonza and Ludmilla.
The duo formed by Pedro Breder and Wallace Vianna signs the musical production, in addition to both being co-authors of the track, alongside André Vieira, Martin and Tállia. The single is described by its interpreter as a fusion of pop with romantic forró. A visualizer should be released soon.
“why don’t you seeCan I be my baby? / We are much better together”, sing the verses of the chorus. The mood of the new track is one of romance and flirtation, full of lightness. The sound is inspired by great names in Northeastern music and Juliette’s confessed inspirations, such as Gonzaguinha, Elba and Zé Ramalho.
Juliette commented a little about the release:
“We did it in a modern, more poppy, fun way, so we could bring it to this time when everyone is focused on São João, for this rhythm. It’s very cute! I hope the crowd likes it, dance forró and flirt a lot!”
HITMAKER musicians praise Juliette’s work ethic. “She’s one of the most sensitive artists we’ve ever worked with. She charges herself to an extreme level. She breathes art, exudes a relentless need to try to express her feelings through every detail and that’s why she inspires so many people”, they reveal.
It was in the studios of the duo that “Xodó” was born. “We mixed all our pop baggage with the Northeastern sound we grew up listening to. Putting it all together to find a unique identity for the unique artist that is Juliette.” Another inspiration, they reveal, was the sound of the São Paulo forró group Bicho de Pé.
“Xodó” also comes to close the busy month that was June for Juliette. Following the June festivities, the singer performed twice in her hometown, Campina Grande. She also passed through Rio de Janeiro, Maceió and São Luís. Shows in Salvador (30) and Caruaru (2) should end their tour of São João.
Juliette made her musical debut in September 2021, with her eponymous EP, which to this day holds the record for the highest number of pre-saves in the history of Spotify Brazil and the second highest debut of a Brazilian album or EP on the platform. Since then, the singer has been making successful partnerships in music and also releasing solo tracks. “Cansar de Dançar” and “Solar” were the latest releases.
In addition, she hit the road in March 2022, when she started the Tour Caminho, which is traveling through cities in different regions of the country. The repertoire of the shows is composed of the tracks present in the debut EP, as well as interpretations of songs by other artists who were important in the singer’s trajectory.
