The post-Cannes Festival week of the advertising market featured news of some corporate movements. Agencies, companies and startups announced the arrival of new professionals, including creatives, heads, producers and CMOs.
REF+ announced the hiring of Nicolás Ciccola and Carlos Mori, both ex-Publicis Brasil, as the new creative directors. Ciccola will work with brands such as Granito, Serasa and also MilNutri, Fortini and Nutricia, which are part of Danone’s portfolio. Mori will have clients such as Porto Seguro, Karvi, Shopper and Barilla.
For Renato Pereira, partner and Chief Creative Officer of REF+, the hiring shows the agency’s upward trajectory not only in Brazil, but also in other countries in the region.
“We want to explore our creative potential to the fullest, we will achieve this through a robust and multidisciplinary team, with a differentiated look at all projects. Nicolás and Carlos are incredibly talented professionals, we’re sure they’ll both do a great job here,” he says.
VMLY&R COMMERCE
VMLY&R Commerce announced the hiring of Carina Blaas as director of e-commerce and D2C (Direct to Consumer) strategies for Brazil and Latin America.
The executive will currently join Ana Toscano, Operations and Client Services Leader, and will report to VMLY&R’s CEO in Brazil, Fernando Taralli, and to the network’s CEO for the region, John Lynn.

Talita Zampieri, an executive with stints at Africa, Ogilvy and Young & Rubicam agencies, is Bullla’s new CMO. At fintech, she will have the mission to lead the entire marketing strategy, including the areas of communication, branding, marketing and growth, as well as Products and CRM.
