The survey numbers are a wake-up call for those related to the industry, as influencer advertising saw a growth of between 34.6% and 46% during 2017-2021 but dropped by 20.4% in 2022.
According to the data, the growth rate is expected to continue decreasing at least until 2027 reaching 10%, which is considerably lower than the rate of the last five years.
The survey also analyzed how this investment should behave in other countries and revealed that China tops the list. In the Asian country, about $15.69 billion will be spent on influencer advertising in 2022, an amount that represents 57% of the total amount expected to be spent.
The United States of America is in second place with a spend of $4.25 billion on influencer advertising, followed by the United Kingdom, Japan and Germany, with each country spending less than a billion dollars in 2022.
