The campaign created by AlmapBBDO and the video produced by Saigon, wanted to highlight the technology of the SUV Taos
To celebrate the release of Disney and Pixar’s Lightyear movie, Volkswagen, which holds the promotional license for the new production, launched a campaign to promote the Taos car.
Created by AlmapBBDO, the play brings the character Buzz Lightyear to the narrative. The 45-inch film, produced by Saigon, shows a couple loading their luggage into the trunk of their Volkswagen Taos, while their daughter prepares to go on an interstellar adventure. After characterizing himself as the famous movie astronaut, the young woman gets in the car and announces “To infinity and beyond”.
“The objective of the film was to highlight the technologies present in the Taos SUV through an intergalactic story, generating an emotional connection with our audience, and associating the product with the trips we want to provide to customers who purchase this model”, said Livia Kinoshita, executive manager. The campaign can be seen on open and closed TV, in cinemas, on the official profiles of the automaker on social networks and on digital channels.
