Spotify announced the expansion of the podcast feature with video for content creators in Brazil, Germany, France, Italy, Spain and Mexico, this Tuesday (12).
During an event held this Monday (11), presenters Tata Estaniecki and Bruna Unzueta, from PodDelas, announced the news and podcasters such as Marvio Lucio (Carioca) and Marcos Chiesa (Bola), from Ticaracaticast; Jaqueline Guerreiro, from Quinta Misteriosa; Rogério Vilela, from Inteligência LTDA, Arthur Gubert and Pedro Smaniotto, from Caixa Preta; Gabie Fernandes and Rafa Dias, from DiaCast, Rafa Uccman and Lucas Guedez, from PocCast, and many others, already have their podcasts with video on Spotify.
The expansion of the video podcast feature reflects Spotify’s investment in tools that provide a great experience for creators, helping them reach global audiences and engage with fans in new ways.
Video podcasts can be watched in the foreground, with the video in full screen, or in the background, where listeners just listen to the podcast. The feature is available on Spotify players: mobile or desktop app, web player and most Smart TVs and video game consoles.
To accompany the news, Spotify also announced two premieres for next Tuesday (19): Bocas Ordinárias, the first Spotify Original podcast with video, which will be presented by João Luiz Pedrosa, Pathy dos Reis, MC Soffia, Julio Beltrão and Beto Estrada and the Spotify Exclusive podcast, Psicologia na Prática, presented by the psychologist specializing in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Alana Anijar, who will debut the new phase with video and topics such as: how to deal with and prevent emotional exhaustion and burnout, how to deal with anger and how to become an emotionally strong person.
As of April this year, content creators from the US, Canada, New Zealand, Australia and the UK were already experimenting and creating videos, and in Brazil and Latin America, Spotify made video available for the first time in January this year with Podpah. de Verão, Spotify’s special project with Podpah, podcast presented by Igão and Mítico, with 7 episodes with video (Mc Livinho, Rico, Lagum, Nattan, Gabi Martins and Tierry, Matuê, Teto, Wiu; Xamã).
