Renata Lo Prete, César Tralli and Milton Jung are the protagonists of the first of eight films that began to be broadcast this Wednesday (13) by Grupo Globo. The material is part of the new phase of the company’s journalism campaign, which begins with the following question: ‘How is news born?’ This question, let’s say, that the new phase of journalism action wants to answer.
Comprised of seven 30-second films and a 60-second version, the campaign features personal testimonies from Grupo Globo journalists on how news emerges and how important it is for democracy.
In the film, the three journalists give their testimonies, while they investigate and write articles, exchange information with sources and prepare to go on the air. Milton Jung says that “news is born in the public square” and Lo Prete adds that “they are everywhere. To find them, you need curiosity and a state of readiness.” For Tralli, “there is no democracy without the seriousness of information. To inform is to seek with the truth a better society”.
The piece ends with the slogan “The path of democracy is information” and with the logos of the vehicles that sign the campaign: TV Globo, GloboNews, G1, the newspapers O Globo, Extra and Valor and the CBN radio.
