People who, when picking up a potato chip, feel the urge to dip it in sauces are the majority in the world. This is indicated by a study carried out by Opinium and led by Heinz in the United Kingdom, Germany, France, China, India, Turkey, Australia and the USA. Nine out of ten (95%) people in the world refuse to eat fries without sauce, or sauce without fries.
Another relevant fact that caught the brand’s attention was knowing that 84% of sauce superfans feel ‘frustrated’ by not getting generous portions of the condiments in each dip of the potatoes.
To deal with the ‘problem’, Heinz created the “Spoon Friez” (or French Fries Spoon), which allows for a more complete experience, with lots of ketchup or mayonnaise. The action, created in partnership with the Africa agency, was launched on the “National French Fries Day”, celebrated this Wednesday (13), in the United States.
It also won airing in Germany, United Kingdom, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, France, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, China and Japan.
