Written by Nelson Cadena, ‘Olhares de Rua’ is an initiative of Sepex da Bahia
‘Olhares de Rua’ is the title of the new book by journalist Nelson Cadena. The work, launched last Thursday (14) in Salvador (BA) on the initiative of the Union of Foreign Media Companies of Bahia, tells the story of out-of-home media in the state.
The book covers the oldest media platforms in the industry, in order
chronological street posters, gables, streetcar posters, street furniture, billboards and neon ads, up to contemporary ones, after the 1960s: trihedrons, front-light, building tops, fenders, busdoor, signposts, taxi media, bus station, airport, ferry-boat, tolls, Fonte Nova stadium, LED panel and temporary outdoor media, in the case of Carnival in Bahia.
In addition, the book talks about Sepex/Ba and Central de Outdoor/Ba, the emergence of these entities and the context of the time. In the last chapter, for example, the author lists 50 OOH media platforms currently available to the market in Bahia.
