The new sector aims to transform the work environment through the management of projects that increase the number of diverse leaderships
Raccoon.Monks developed an area of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion with the objective of transforming the work environment through the management of projects that increase the number of diverse leaderships.
“Raccoon.Monks understands that having an area focused on diversity means understanding the importance of dedicating real effort to these themes, as well as defining strategies to improve the journey of our collaborators”, said André Palis, founding partner of the agency.
The agency already counts actions to bring diversity, such as the Chusmas, groups aimed at re-educating the company on agendas such as the inclusion of minority groups.
“Our objective is to transform the work environment and the journey of each one through the management of projects that involve well-being, as well as the diversity of our collaborators. These moves have been carried out in a preventive and transparent manner”, explained Nathália Chaves, a specialist in diversity and PO of the agency’s affinity groups and one of the leaders of this new sector.
The groups, such as Chusmas, will help the new area to put into practice some actions in the company, such as an ebook of effective and inclusive communication, the choice of pronouns by the employees and among others.
The area will be responsible for actions that speak directly to the minority group. According to the agency’s Business partner in the Human Resources Area, Jéssica Fernandes, one of the company’s goals is to increase the presence of black women in leadership positions by 2.5% by October this year.
“Until December, we will also propose training spaces for black people, initially among AfroChusma participants, and we have initiatives to meet these goals: affirmative vacancies for black people, advertised in places where the largest audience is black women; targeted hunting; affirmative project management; and prioritization of different people in internal processes for leadership positions are some examples”, added Jessica.
Another public welcomed by the company are people with disabilities (PCDs). The agency will allocate at least 4% of vacancies to professionals with disabilities by July 2023.
“We are guaranteeing, with our electronic equipment suppliers and with the Internal Commission for Accident Prevention (CIPA), all the indicated accessibility resources, putting everyone’s comfort and well-being first”, said Nathália.
