Action reinforces the companies’ commitment against animal abandonment and invites fans, spectators and consumers to engage in the cause
Allianz Parque had some special presences during the game between Palmeiras and Internacional this Sunday (24).
The players of the São Paulo team took to the field with dogs from the NGO Bichos do Gueto on their laps in an action that aimed to encourage the responsible adoption of animals throughout the country.
The action was designed by Mars, Sociedade Esportiva Palmeiras and Warner Bros. Pictures, with the DC movie League of Superpets.
“We fight daily for every dog to find a happy home. This action is an important step in this trajectory, as we believe that to achieve this goal we need to create a real movement and increase visibility about the reality of animals that live in shelters and on the streets”, said Eduardo Lima, Marketing Director at Mars.
“Sociedade Esportiva Palmeiras is more than a football club; is an organization that generates a positive impact for the whole of society. With this initiative, we want to draw the attention of our fans and the general public to the problem of animal abandonment”, declared Leila Pereira, president of Palmeiras.
The reality of shelter animals and the love relationship between humans and pets are themes of the new animation from Warner Bros. Pictures, the DC League of Superpets that will debut in Brazilian cinemas this Thursday (28). In addition, the film also emphasizes teamwork and the message that everyone can be a superhero, including pets.
