The clothing brand Reserva decided to bring the most famous Brazilian maestro, João Carlos Martins, as the star of its new Father’s Day campaign.
The campaign “Reservation shirt, masterfully made in Brazil” joins the maestro’s trajectory, in several actions involving the commemorative date.
The Municipal Theater of Rio de Janeiro will host the “Parents’ Day Special Reservation Concert”, promoted by the brand and the Bachiana Orchestra, on August 13, at 7pm.
The concert will have guests from the Reservation and also ticket sales open to the public, with prices starting at R$400.00.
The brand has prepared promotions for customers, such as a 30% discount on the purchase of tickets, gifts for those who choose sectors premium in the audience and redemption of a R$100.00 voucher after purchasing products in stores.
Among other actions of the campaign, João Carlos Martins and his Orquestra Bachiana also participated in a photo shoot at the Municipal Theater of Rio de Janeiro.
The videos and photos will be broadcast on the Reserve’s social networks, in the stores’ internal clothing and also in advertisements for various media.
Bach performer
Father of four children and eight grandchildren, João Carlos Martins is world-renowned for his work as a pianist, which began when he was just eight years old, in the 1940s.
Considered one of the most important interpreters of Johann Sebastian Bach, the Brazilian conductor recorded for decades all the works of the classical composer.
bionic gloves
In 2000, the musician was forced to leave his career as a pianist due to the worsening of focal dystonia – a disease he has suffered since he was 18 years old – and a series of fatalities that definitively affected the movement of his hands.
Today, at the age of 82 and with a career spanning 64 years, the maestro relies on the help of bionic gloves to be able to play. He recently launched a worldwide campaign to help scientists find a cure for dystonia.
“At 82 years old, I am still active, performing around 80 concerts a year and I feel honored to participate in the Father’s Day Campaign for the Reserve. Being a father is understanding your children, because in the future they will also be parents”, comments João Carlos Martins.
Founder of Fundação Bachiana, João Carlos Martins is currently the conductor and artistic director of the Bachiana Philharmonic SESI-SP.
The creation of one of the most important orchestras of private initiative in the country is the result of the conductor’s ability to perform.
At first he created an orchestra of professionals and another one of young talents, coming from the periphery of São Paulo, which later, in 2009, merged into the current Philharmonic Bachiana SESI-SP.
