The action is part of the plan designed by the financial institution to rejuvenate its customer base
Banco do Brasil chose Roblox as a platform to reinforce the strategy of conversations with children and young people. The project, which is being tested and is scheduled to be launched in October at the Brasil Game Show (BGS), aims to take users to experiences in interactive sports and culture environments, connected to tourist attractions.
The action is part of the plan designed by the financial institution to rejuvenate its customer base, which began supporting electronic games in 2018. According to the bank, in the first half of the year, for example, 43% of accounts were opened by young people aged up to 25 years.
Addressing such an important topic for young people, in a friendly environment and with the experience they want, is a great opportunity to help raise awareness of the importance of managing their finances, says Carlos Motta, BB’s vice president of business and retail.
The institution also envisions, in addition to increasing the customer base, that actions like this will encourage the creation of new and immersive products that adhere to the digital ecosystem, which is one of the promises of web3.0.
Banco do Banco’s first action in the metaverse was from the manager BB DTVM when it created the fictitious investment funds BB Metaverso Multimercado FTW and BB Metaverso Fixed Income FTW, in the virtual city of the Complex, a RolePlay server. The action sought to promote financial education among young people and connected with the #TamoJuntoNesseGame, a project by the brand to encourage eSports.
In a recent interview with PROPMARK, the bank reported that the metaverse had entered as a means for the development of new relationship opportunities.
Acting in the virtual world, offering products, services and experiences, is a way of being close to the younger generations and being in the metaverse contributes to delivering a complete experience to this audience, says Tadeu Figueir, the bank’s marketing manager.
