As the main sponsorship activation, the brand will create the “Magic Market by Mercado Livre”
Mercado Livre is preparing a series of activities for the return of CCXP to the face-to-face format. A partner since last year, the brand seeks to strengthen its relationship with the public from the geek and pop universe. This year’s edition will be held between December 1st and 4th, at So Paulo Expo, in So Paulo.
As the main activation of the sponsorship, the brand will create the “Magic Market by Mercado Livre”, a physical space at the event where sellers registered on the platforms will be able to sell their products. “We are going to take the digital experience that people already know to the physical world”, says Fernanda Schmid, director of Field Marketing Mercado Livre and Mercado Pago.
The structure has the ambiance of a medieval market, a way to establish a connection with fans of the universe that inspire works such as Game of Thrones and Lord of the Rings. In all, it will bring together 32 businesses, including publishers and accessory, comic and collectible stores. The brand’s strategy also includes the exclusive CCXP products page on e-commerce. Created at the end of last year, it reached an increase of almost 200% in sales between May and July this year compared to the quarter between October and December 2021.
The e-commerce platform will also have two other stands, one of which is focused on the gaming public, a segment that will gain even more visibility throughout this edition.
“Games is one of the pillars and will be even more prominent this year”, says Pierre Mantovani, CEO of Omelete Company, responsible for organizing the event. According to the executive, the Brazilian version, recognized as the biggest event of geek culture in the world since 2016, will be even bigger in its return to face-to-face.
“This year, we are investing even more in proprietary experiences. For each area, we are looking to create experiences for people to engage even more,” he explains. In the last editions, made virtually, more than 9 million people participated, 3.5 million in 2020 and 5.5 million in 2021.
In addition to Mercado Livre, CCXP informed that it is negotiating the sponsorship of other brands. Announcements should be made soon.
