Feud had a simply sensational first season – it’s available on Star Plus. His goal was to address every major feuds (feuds) of history. And the first season centered on the famous enmity between stars Bette Davis (Susan Sarandon) and Joan Crawford (Jessica Lange). The actresses put on a show and the season is great. Feud was soon renewed for a second season in 2017. Produced by Ryan Murphy, he soon announced that the second season would address the conflict of the actual separation from Charles and Diana. But for who knows why, everything ended up being canceled (effect of The Crown perhaps?). As a fan, I had already given up hope for a new phase of Feud. But behold, today comes the confirmation that it will happen. And still with theme and cast. Naomi Watts star.
The theme will be The Women of Capote. The capote of the title is the writer Truman Capote. The series will show how the famous writer betrayed several of his friends, who he called swans. He published a short story in Esquire magazine in 1975 called The Basque Coast 1965. In it, the characters had a clear inspiration from these friends and confidants. And it exposed all sorts of secrets and scandals, from adultery to murder. This not only caused these friends to cut him off entirely, but also destroyed his reputation and social standing.
Who were they?
The women were all famous socialites of the time. Among them, Babe Paley, who was the wife of the CBS boss. In the series, Naomi Watts, also a producer, will play the role. Fashion designer C. Z Guest will be made by Chloe Sevigny. Other women who were swans at the time were Slim Keith, Pamela Churchill Harriman, ex-wife of Winston Churchill’s son Gloria Guiness. And even Lee Radzwill, sister of Jackie Kennedy. The rest of the cast, in addition to Naomi and Chloe, have yet to be announced.
The season will be eight episodes long and will be entirely directed by award-winning Gus Van Sant. Filming is expected to take place in New York in the fall. I’m already very curious.
