Samsung Electronics has opened its island in the game Fortnite, called Smart City. The launch is part of actions celebrating the arrival of the company’s new foldable devices, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4.
The campaign was created by Cheil Brasil and the arrival of the brand in the metaverse offers game users the chance to experience and interact with the products within the online world.
It’s not just about having fun, but especially exploring and building relationships. Today we understand that the real, dynamic and living Metaverse is happening within these platforms. There are no longer barriers between what is physical and what is online, says Arthur Wong, Samsung’s marketing director for Latin America.
The Fortnite experience aims to reinforce Samsung’s connection with Generation Z by promoting a place where it will be possible to live in a multi-digital themed environment for the consumer.
Smart City will become the continuous stage of the Z Series Fun Game Quest, an interactive game in the hide and seek format, traditional Fortnite style, where the player needs to find the new hidden Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 smartphone and keep it in his possession until the end of round.
The entire island of Samsung in Fortnite is composed of elements that refer to the other products of the brand, such as buildings in the shape of the Galaxy Z Fold 4, bridges inspired by the Galaxy Z Flip4, towers outlined as the new series of Galaxy Watch5 smartwatches, the S Pen represented as a large obelisk and the new The Freestyle portable projector as a giant spotlight.
