We want to bring the value that the history of Brazil deserves
History, the A+E Networks Latin America channel present in more than 76 million homes, entered into a partnership with the Ipiranga Museum to generate content that commemorates the Bicentennial of Brazil’s Independence, on September 7th.
The agreement was made official this Wednesday morning (24) with the presence of Eduardo Ruiz, president and general manager of A+E Networks América Latina; Cesar Sabroso, Senior Vice President of Marketing and PR at A+E Networks America Latina; Karen Santiago, Content Director for History; and Amncio Jorge de Oliveira, deputy director of the Ipiranga Museum.
The alliance includes a virtual tour of the monument-building facilities with an exhibition on the channel’s social networks in order to encourage people to visit the museum, which will reopen its doors on September 7 after being closed for nine years. The ceremony will be covered by History’s digital platforms.
The Ipiranga Museum also gained a new visual resource with an interactive whiteboard screen independence or death, a canvas finished in 1888 by Pedro Amrico, and one of the most important works in the collection. Our technology allows the visitor to know what is behind the work. We want to bring the value that Brazil’s history deserves, said Raul Costa Jr., general manager of Grupo A+E Networks.
The celebratory program begins on the first of September with the series Independence Dictionary. Throughout the month, they enter the air B for Brazilled by historian Eduardo Bueno; insurgentswith Ricardo Carvalho; Brazilian inventors, presented by former president Fernando Henrique Cardoso; and here is historyanchored by historian Thiago Gomide.
