The campaign, signed by Africa, aims to educate people to protect themselves
Ita Unibanco launched a campaign to alert the population on how to prevent and avoid falling into scams and bank fraud.
The campaign has three films, signed by Africa, which portray everyday situations and aim to educate people so that they protect themselves and become allies in the fight against these crimes.
Currently, scams and fraud are not related to a person’s age or technology level, let alone system protection. In fact, criminals increasingly specialize in ways to convince the customer to voluntarily share sensitive data or carry out an improper transaction, which ultimately generates great financial loss, said Adriano Volpini, director of Corporate Security at Ita Unibanco. .
According to a survey by the Brazilian Federation of Banks (Febraban), 3 out of 10 Brazilians have already been victims of scams or fraud attempts. In addition, the Serasa Experian Indicator pointed out that in May 2022 alone, 331,000 people were victims of attempted fraud in Brazil.
We use the most sophisticated tools to protect against scams and fraud. However, working in partnership with our customers that makes the biggest difference in this battle – that’s why we say in the campaign that together we protect twice. We want to empower our customers and society as a whole through didactic content that is really understood and changes attitudes that are often simple, says Eduardo Tracanella, Marketing Director at Ita Unibanco.
