Of the 10 nominations, Brazil took home five awards in the following categories: Entertainment Cut, Work For Good Cut, Craft Cut, Health Cut and Media Cut
The Gerety Awards 2022 released its list of winners, and among the Brazilians awarded are VMLY&R, AKQA So Paulo, McCann Health So Paulo and WMcCann.
In total, Brazil had 10 nominations for the award and took five, being two golds, one silver and two bronzes.
VMLY&R took Gold in the Entertainment Cut category for Los Santos +3c for Greenpeace.
Another agency that took home the biggest award was AKQA So Paulo, in the Work For Good Cut category for RGBblack. In addition, the agency also took silver in the Craft Cut category with “Sonho” for Nego Bala.
McCann Health So Paulo won the Bronze award in the Health Cut category, in the “Maternal Milk Donate Glass Bottle” campaign, created for the NGO Eu Apoio Leite Materno.
WMcCann was also awarded Bronze in the Media Cut category, with the Paywalldown campaign for L’oreal.
Internationally, the US was one of the top award winners overall, with 34 statues in total, followed by the UK with 27.
In terms of nominations, Belgium was the most selected, with 23, followed by Canada with 20, France and Germany with 14 and the United Arab Emirates with 10, tied with Brazil.
In total, the 2022 Gerety Awards jury awarded 5 Grand Prix, 34 Gold, 58 Silver and 77 Bronze. The Grand Prix was awarded to Bodyform/Libresse, from AMVBBDO London in the Craft Cut category, VICE Media, from Dentsu Webchutney Bengaluru India in the Communication Cut and Experience Cut category; Channel 4, by Final Cut London in the Craft Cut category and Whirlpool, by VMLY&R Mexico in the Innovation Cut category.
