The fifth edition of the festival aims to discuss trends in advertising production, market practices and relevant topics on the international scene.
APRO and FilmBrazil announce the Whext 2022 finalists. With a focus on promoting Brazilian audiovisual advertising, the festival will take place on December 1st, at the British Brazilian Center, in So Paulo.
In partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil), sponsored by Getty Images & iStock, OnCare Sade, Sebrae and Spcine and supported by Affinit Seguros, AT FIve Gin, Consulado, Extreme Reach, by GoAd, Prdigo, Satelite Audio, Seguradora EZZE and SINDCINE, the fifth edition of the festival aims to discuss trends in advertising production, good market practices and topics of high relevance in the international scenario, such as: ESG, mental health, liquid narratives, NFT, Connected TV and others.
Curated by GoAd, among the highlights of the Whext 2022 program are participants such as Eric Stern, Managing Director at Anonumous Content; Federico Roales, Creative Insights Researcher at Getty Images & iSotck and Carmela Borst, CEO at Soulcode Academy.
In addition to the panels, the event will once again hold Business Roundtables with international guests and award professionals from the sector, especially those working in the backstage.
“Whext was created with the aim of bringing about important discussions about the current market scenario, but mainly looking ahead and raising paths of what the future of advertising production will be like. We always want to update and qualify our professionals to be ready for whatever is yet to come. The award, on the other hand, was born as a way of giving visibility to those who are involved in the day-to-day on a film set, in pre- and post-production. It is extremely rewarding to be able to bring another edition of this event, explained Marianna Souza, president of APRO, executive manager of FilmBrazil and head of WHEXT.
In addition to the schedule, Whext also released the judges for the Whext Awards this year. During the month of September, the associated producers of APRO and FilmBrazil indicated the professionals who stood out the most in each of the 13 technical categories of the award.
The jury, made up of national and international professionals, includes names such as Eric Stern, Managing Director at Anonymous Content; Caroline Kousidonis, Executive Producer at Park Pictures; Camila Naito, General Director of Production at WMcCann; Matthew Loranger, Executive Producer at TheMill NY; Murilo Melo, Executive Creative Director at GUT; Nicole Godoy, Head of Production at VMLY&R; Renato Zandon, Chief Creative Officer at Droga5; Travis Quinn, Head of Production at Mother NY; Talita Cardoso, DC at DPZ and Felipe Silva, partner and Creative Director in Ghana.
