After months, the wait is finally over. Fans of La Casa de Papel will be able to see their favorite characters making one last robbery. The finale to the Spanish series that has marked Netflix for years since the success of the first season is finally available.
The final 5 episodes of the series were released today, December 3rd, and are now available to all streaming service subscribers. In addition to the final episodes that end the plot of the production, Netflix also released a special with behind-the-scenes footage called “La Casa de Papel: From Tokyo to Berlin”.
Check out the trailer for the last part of the final season of La Casa de Papel:
According to the official synopsis (which may contain spoilers) provided by Netflix:
“In the last five episodes, Tokyo (Úrsula Corberó) is dead. The enemy is still lurking in Spain’s Central Bank, wounded but as dangerous as ever. The time has come to face the biggest challenge so far. The gang plots a daring plan to extract the gold without anyone noticing. To make matters worse, the Professor makes the biggest mistake of his life”
On Instagram, the actors of the series said goodbye to the audience and their production colleagues. On his social network, Álvaro Morte, actor who plays the professor, organizer of the robberies shown in the series, posted in farewell: “My favorite superheroes were always Batman and Superman, until I met you”.
Even with the end of the series, La Casa de Papel should not completely stop appearing on the service for years to come. That’s because, with all the production’s success over the years, you’d expect audiences to get more content for a while, so Netflix has announced a prologue series on Berlin.
