Recent numbers from Jovem Pan News reveal a solid and growing performance in the news broadcasting scene, especially in pay TV. During the month of April 2024, the broadcaster consolidated its position as vice-leader in this segment, with a share of 0.228 and an audience of 0.086 in the total period of the day (from 6 am to 5:59 am), surpassing its closest competitor by 15%. The data is from Kantar/Ibope “PAY TV” – PNT.
In the period from January to April this year, Jovem Pan News maintained a consistent performance in the time slot from 6am to 0am, always ranking second among news channels. Starting the year with an audience of 0.10 in January, the broadcaster recorded progressive growth, reaching 0.11 in April, with an average of 0.11 during the four months.
Positive results stand out in different time slots. In the morning (6am – 12pm), there was a 9% increase in audience compared to March 2024, driven by a 15% longer average viewing time among households with pay TV. In the afternoon (12pm – 6pm), Jovem Pan News was the only news broadcaster not to show a drop in audience, maintaining its score and growing 3.8% compared to the previous month, consolidating its second place. In prime time (6pm – 12am), the broadcaster advanced 11% in average audience compared to March 2024, reaching a household audience of 0.13 points, finishing again in second place and expanding its reach by 25% among households with pay TV during this period.
These results reflect Jovem Pan News’ success in attracting and engaging its audience, consolidating its position as one of the main sources of information and analysis in the news broadcasting scene in Brazil.
