Veloe, a mobility brand, and Pede Pronto, an ordering platform, became the new sponsors of the Barueri Volleyball Club women’s volleyball team, led by coach José Roberto Guimarães.
According to the note sent to the press, the project has completed five years and includes housing, food, study, training, weight training, physiotherapy, psychologists for the athletes, in addition to being conceived by the commander of the Brazilian women’s team and her family.
“We are very proud to represent these two brands that believed in us and in the project. This partnership aims to make these girls not only volleyball players, but it is an initiative that believes in social inclusion and life transformation. Happiness is complete and we hope to live up to the expectations placed on the project in every way”, stated José Roberto Guimarães.
The club faced problems of lack of support from companies for a few months, but was supported by a spontaneous campaign, driven by the fans, on social media. Alelo’s business units are the first brands to announce the sponsorship after the mobilization, which initially lasts until the end of the 2021/2022 season of Superliga Feminina.
“The idea of joining this project came when we knew that the club needed support and we believed that we could join efforts to strengthen the development of young people and high-performance athletes. In addition, it is an opportunity to further strengthen the relationship with the city of Barueri, where our headquarters are located”, said André Turquetto, general director of Veloe.
