Sandra Bullock has gone three years without acting – since Birdbox, in 2018. Then, suddenly, three films will arrive with the actress with short breaks. Unforgiven premiered this month on Netflix. Lost City will open in theaters in March 2022. Bullet Train, an action film with Brad Pitt, which will also debut in 2022. The synopsis says the story will follow the brilliant but reclusive author Loretta Sage (Sandra Bullock). She has spent her entire career writing popular novels set in exotic places. They all feature cover model Alan (Channing Tatum), who, in turn, has dedicated his life to being the personification of the novels’ hero. While promoting her new book with Alan, Loretta is kidnapped by the eccentric billionaire played by Daniel Radcliffe. He hopes to find the treasure of the lost city that is part of the story of the author’s new book. To prove he’s a real hero, Alan then decides to rescue Loretta. That’s when the two are thrown on a jungle adventure. There they will have to work together to survive, and find the treasure before it is lost forever.

Of course it’s impossible not to remember All for an Emerald, 1984 film, with Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner. This was a huge success at the time, and it was based on a similar principle.
