Renata Cabral will lead growth initiatives and brand actions
There’s news at Marvin, fintech for B2B payment methods that appeared in May 2021. Renata Cabral is the new head of marketing at the company that has already had funding in this initial year: the first of the former director of the Central Bank, Luiz Fernando Figueiredo, and Mauá Capital in its first month of life, and the second in August, by Canary, followed by Eduardo Gouveia, former CEO of Cielo and Multiplus.
The executive has worked in the United States and France, worked at the World Bank in Washington DC for two years and returned to Brazil in 2018 to work at Itaú. He worked in several sectors at the Brazilian bank, such as Cards, iti and Payments.
Renata says that she has always worked in very traditional financial institutions, in the areas of products, business and marketing, but she wanted to go a little further. “When I received the invitation to take over Marketing at Marvin I was very happy and it was exactly what I was looking for professionally, which was to be part of an early stage startup in the Payments world. I’m sure we’re going to have a very prosperous history together”, he comments;
Ricardo Figliolini, CCO and founding partner of Marvin, talks about choosing the professional for this moment. “We really believe in the people who are building Marvin, with each hiring we think a lot about the commitment we have to this team and our customers. Renata has extensive payment experience, leadership and execution power. We were thrilled with her arrival”, he says.
