Kojima Productions and 505 Games announced this Tuesday, December 4th, the arrival of the Director’s Cut of Death Stranding for PCs. The special version of the game will arrive between March and July for gamers who prefer computers over consoles.
Neil Ralley, president of 505 Games, spoke a little about Death Stranding Director’s Cut for PCs announcement:
“We are delighted to announce our partnership with Intel for Death Stranding Director’s Cut on PC. Death Stranding has proven to be an extremely popular game among PC gamers, and we’re excited to see how Intel’s XeSS technology will improve gamers’ experience in Director’s Cut.”
The purpose of the new version is to give a new vision, with different dynamics and elements from the original version for the game. Some delivery tools that make the game more dynamic are an example of what can be seen differently in Death Stranding Director’s Cut compared to its base version.
Several other additions also influence the game mechanics, such as the robot friend, already present in the 2019 version, but now even more influential on the player’s gameplay. It’s also possible to mention longer jumps, but no fall damage due to the additional thrusters, among several other additions.
The game stars actor Norman Reedus, star of The Walking Dead series, in addition to having the participation of Mads Mikkelsen. The base version was released in 2019 and was a critical and public success, with an 82 rating on the Metacritic. The game follows the story of Sam Bridges, who carries hope for the annihilated world.
Although there are predictions between which months Death Stranding Director’s Cut should be released, there is still no exact date for the version of the game to reach PCs. However, the game is now available for the PS5.
