The World Surf League (WSL) and Unicesumar closed a partnership that is part of the Educa/Esporte project, a university initiative whose objective is to value the sport. In addition to encouraging surfing, the union also aims to invest in the professional training of athletes, offering EAD scholarships for juniors, active athletes and former athletes.
The objective is to ensure that, through education, they have one more possibility of professional training, a greater field of work when they finish their careers. The project’s ambassador is Alejo Muniz, a professional surfer who defends Brazil on world surfing circuits and is now the new influencer of EAD Unicesumar.
“Taking care of WSL athletes today and in the future, their professional performance also out of the water is extremely important. It is a great satisfaction for us to have Unicesumar offering this. It is another renowned institution associating its name with surfing, in an extremely positive period for this Brazilian sport in the world, with our athletes shining internationally, conquering more and more titles and admirers”, says Ivan Martinho, CEO of WSL Latin America.
