All Publicis Groupe employees will be able to work from anywhere in the world for six weeks in 2022. The news was presented this Tuesday (14) in the video “Publicis Wishes”, traditional year-end message.
To get the message across, Arthur Sadoun, CEO and chairman of Publicis Groupe, and Maurice Lévy, his predecessor and now chairman of the fiscal council, debate where they will “work their world” next year.
But the conversation is far from being a traditional meeting. In the video, their faces appear in the bodies of iconic movie characters. From the Joker descending the stairs in New York to Jack and Rose in the classic Titanic ship scene, executives use good humor and dramatic skills.
After considering various possibilities, such as a ski resort and even South Korea, they came to the consensus that no matter where they were, they would definitely create many memories. “And that’s what we wish you in 2022,” says Sadoun.
Then the group talks about the possibility of working anywhere in the world for six weeks in 2022. Currently, Publicis Groupe has 84,000 employees in more than 100 countries. In Brazil there are approximately 1.8 thousand.
The program starts in 2022 and will be available through Marcel, the group’s AI platform. There, employees will have guidance on how to participate, with information on documentation and countries.
“This is traditionally the time of year to look back and reflect on the past. But after another 12 challenging months for our people, we wanted to look forward to them, offer a fresh perspective and hopefully make them smile. Our 2022 wishes are an invitation not only to ‘work your world’, but also to create the kind of amazing memories that many of us have lost over the past two years,” says Sadoun.
Remember that this is not the first time the duo appears acting. In June 2020, the leaders faced a 007-style mission, complete with a suspenseful soundtrack and a lot of good humor. Created by the Marcel agency, the film “Yes We Cannes” shows their journey from Publicis’ headquarters in Paris.
Back in December, the group published a video that showed the two of them in complete social isolation, with a protruding belly and a mask, in the best style, sprawled on the sofa. The idea was to publicize a virtual meeting with the company’s 80,000 employees.
In 2019, Sadoun dismissed the big production and recorded only with a smartphone and an assistant – the Lévy. Throughout the recording, they show all their skill with framing, audio, stability and editing.
As early as 2018, the video shows customized Marcel in a robot with a screen not doing very well in the office.
