A Panini, publisher of the collectibles segment, presents its newest digital platform, with the objective of providing interaction and experiences for lovers of football. Created and developed by the innovation area of the iDTBWA agency, the virtual tool, initially entitled ‘Panini Complete Champion‘, works by scanning and visually recognizing the physical stickers on the championship album and will primarily focus on the fans of the Atlético-MG, champion of the Brasileirão 2021.
Second José Eduardo Martins, President and CEO of Panini Brasil, this initiative reinforces a path that the company has followed: uniting innovation with the tradition of the Panini brand.
“Furthermore, it is one more way for us to reward collectors and strengthen our community, so that the experience with the sticker album is even more complete”, he explains.
Athleticians will be able to compete for exclusive prizes and have access to information and statistics about players in augmented reality. Fans only need to scan Atlético-MG’s cards straight from the album, using their cell phone camera, and will have access to the exclusive website, proving to be an easy-to-use platform.
“We are starting to include a new interactive layer to meet the dynamics of new generations, who value the physical experience of the album, but also want to add technology, journeys gamificadas and awards. At first, the focus is on the champion of the Brasileirão 2021, but soon we will be able to extend the experience to all clubs, including new features and updating this interface, which is so traditional for sports collectibles”, completes Rodrigo Carvalho, Planning and Innovation Head at iD TBWA.
To participate in the draws and compete for prizes, such as autographed products, balls, t-shirts and albums, fans will need to scan as many Atlético-MG stickers as possible and cross their fingers. As it is an application for use on the web, the platform does not need to be downloaded to the cell phone.
